Columbus Public Library staffer, quilter, and sewing instructor Pat Trapp will conduct a tote bag kit sewing workshop in the lower level of the library on Saturday, November 9 at 9 AM. The kit produces a beautiful tote bag suitable for holiday giving!
The library will provide six sewing machines, the tote bag kit, and all supplies necessary to make the tote. Attendees will make the kit under Pat’s supervision and take it home that day. Those choosing to attend must have some experience with using a sewing machine, but no other special sewing abilities are needed. You will learn how to add a zipper, use cork material and basic pocket and tote bag construction. Beginners are welcome.
The kits have been purchased by the library, who is underwriting the cost to patrons. The kit fee for patrons will be $25, payable by cash or check only.
Due to space limitations, attendance is limited to six participants only. When you register, you will be asked to pick the color of the kit you want to make. Due to limited availability, you will be asked to make a first and second choice for the kit color.
You may register online on our website, on our Facebook page, by calling the library at 920-623-5910 and asking for Adult Program Coordinator Catherine Brick, or by emailing Catherine at catherine [at] columbuspubliclibrary.info. You may also direct any questions to Catherine or to Pat at the library.
